Bible Study

Hannah and I started our Biblestudy the other day and so far we have gotten through Chapter's 2 and 3 in Acts. We have learned a great deal from these two chapters. It's much easier to understand them if you go through and break the chapter down and learn from it that way, which is what we're doing. Let's talk about Acts 2 & 3. I think a couple of things in Acts 2 that really caught my eye was the part where Peter stood up and spoke to the people about Jesus because everybody thought that the men who were speaking tongues were drunk but Peter was telling them that no, they werent drunk. They were speaking in tongues because God was speaking through them. The man that they sacrificed on the cross was speaking through these men and it was so profounding to the people because while Jesus was alive, they had scoffed at him but now they were starting to believe that he had really been the son of God.

Chapter 3,
3.4 I thought this was a good verse because it's talking about the begger that asked Peter and John for money, but they had none. They gave him something much better then money though. They gave him the gift to walk and that is much more valuable then the gift of money could ever be.

3-11.
"Why are you amazed?"I think this is an important verse aswell because when Peter and John walked in with the begger clinging to them and walking, people were amazed at the sight but Peter asked why they were amazed because did Christ not heal people? He spoke that it was this man's faith in Christ that healed him, not them. The man that they traded for a murderer who had done so many good things was the one that had healed this lame begger, not Peter and John and he wanted to stress that too the people. Hannah also brought up a good point that before we were saved, that we were but humble beggers and lame because we did not have the love of christ in our lives but once we came to know and love Christ we were whole and we cling to him, like the begger clinged to Peter and John.

Y'all give your opinions on these verses. What do you guys think?

Hey! hehe. How is everyone today? New Post :D I figured it was about time to put up a new one it's been almost a week. The other day there was this really pretty chocolate lab in our yard and I asked my dad if I could keep him but dad wouldnt let me :( Our dog was getting along with him really well, surprisingly. I couldnt believe it but he left so Im sure he belonged to somebody :( I've been helping my dad with the work on our kitchen. He's been working on putting up a brick wall that runs between the kitchen and the living room, with an arched doorway connecting the two. He's also working on putting in a fireplace and making the kitchen smaller. Renovation is tough :P We've got about 3 inches of snow on the ground up here but it's melting away fairly quickly.

Hey, Y'all sorry I havent posted much in awhile but it's been rather uneventful round here :P My anxiety attacks are undercontrol as y'all know. I'm sleeping quite well at night now ;). Our phone convo's we have every week are super fun! XD Although at times they can get abit confusing when 4 people are trying to talk :P Hannah's really hyper today :P I talked to her on the phone and she laughing uncontrollably and christa was.... screaming. Anyway, I'm lookin forward to my visit in May. I think it's gonna be fun XD. I had to have my car fixed a couple weeks back. There was a belt that needed to be replaced but it's running smooth, for now :P Well start postin y'all XD

This is just kind of a coffee talk chat sorta thing hehehe rofl, ok that made no sense whatsoever but whatever hehe.. It's 9 pm and Im hyped up on sweettea so..... sense is not particularly on my menu tonight! XD I brushed the horses off today.. it took me over an hour because theyre both caked with mud and I actually had to take the snippers to Zacks mane hehe.. It was a rats nest.. :P Also, Today I got to talk to Hannah for the first time! XD I called her for her birthday! It was uber coolies XD I was really nervous while I was dialing but after Hanner answered I was fine hehehe..

Im so tired.. the last couple of nights I havent been sleeping very well because I had 2 anxiety attacks in a row and so last night I was up all night fretting, scared that I was having a heartattack.. so at about 4 am.. I got up and watched some tv.. I watched two old Westerns : The Golden Stallion and Laramie..

Laramie was coolios XD I like Smiley Burnett he's a hoot.. He's so funny because he screws up all the time, such a scatterbrain hehehe (gotta love smiley XD.. True he is associated with Gene Autry... ewwww.. but he also acts along with the Durango Kid which is much cooler :D ) and I cant forget old Trigger ;) Gotta love Trigger he's the best horse ever :D
